Founded by Jan Antonin in 1939, when he opened a factory in a small town in the middle of Slovakia - in Partizánske. Novesta produce some of the finest quality and environmentally friendly canvas plimsolls around. The use only natural rubber for the sole, with a mixture of cotton and linen for the upper, which is then combined during the manufacturing process using a glue free high-pressured machine, which is then hand trimmed. This process leaves a little rubber line around the shoe that confirms the quality of the shoe.
